Could not believe Gerard Butler's voice. Simply amazing.
The broadway production is great! The movie comes close and I really did enjoy it, but nothing compares to seeing that chandler fall from the cieling to the stage at the end of Act I.
Schumacher's direction and staging is so lavish as to be over-the-top, but the absurd decadence of it all is one of the film's better qualities. Its best quality is Rossum, a true talent with a beautiful voice and the looks to match. While the movie delivers an adequate visual ex...( read more)
Not perfect, but a lovely and lush adaptation of the Webber musical. The music still kicks ass all these years later and I love the costumes, design and look of the film. Though normally a big fan of Butler, whilst he had the presence and acting ability to play off a great Phanto...( read more)
Jako mi se svidja ovaj filmic ima malo jezivog i pjevanaj ma super je!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is officially my favorite movie of all time. (Along with the 3 Pirates of the Caribbean movies)
Omg, this was the first live production i saw with a professional cast. That was 6 years ago, and i'm still in love with this show!!!! This has got to be Andrew Lloyd Webber's greatest work, and they couldn't have picked a better cast
Some plays and musicals just aren't meant to cross over. The old black and white version of this was gone but I feel this fell flat
LOVED this as a movie... but nothing measures to the real opera at the Phantages Theater in Toronto, Canada. Also seen it live in Pittsburgh. Mesmerizing and music is infectious & intense. I have the CD's, etc. Will continue to see it live whenever possible!
I loooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Fantastic Musical Numbers Gets You Hooked To This Film From Start To Finish, Fantastic
A massive fan of this & always have been. However this is far better in the theatre.
Almost as good as seeing the opera in Her Majesty's Theatre in London. Gerard Butler was awesome!
Fabulous visuals of Gothic romance, thanks to roses, sets, costumes and photography, fabulous music and Beauty and the Beast-like story - although "hot" (or not) Gerard Butler is miscast in the role of monstrously UGLY man. My, the critics have crappy taste - but then, I pref...( read more)
loved the orginal soundtrack, who would have thought that michael Crawford could sing like, when he played a goofball on "some mothers do have im"
Gerard Butler takes the hideous and demented Phantom and makes him sexy and appealing. Lloyd-Webber had a hand in this grande adaptation of the popular broadway play. Brava, brava.
El OST deslumbra. Buena ambientación y dirección de arte. Esencia original de la historia.
Very good adaptation of Webber's material. This is a timeless story that you can really appreciate. On the level of a movie the plot is revealed remarkably. If the set design were anything less than stellar it might not have worked. What gets me about this movie is its tragic nat...( read more)
I prefer the original cast of the Musical from Broadway--I have the CD--but this is a pretty good film version.
i have no idea this musical movie is well-know or not but its the one that not a kind of tame one, the music with divine tone like it flows into u then invade all over ur mind.so kool! i have my eyes on the phantom during the duration of it, hes so attactive but i lil bit upset w...( read more)
I love the broadway show, therefore I love the movie. Great music. I don't know about other people, but I'm on team Phantom.
