This movie is so awesome!
This movie if I had to put it in one word....beautiful. The actors were beautiful and so was the actors beautiful singing and the music. Definetely recommend this to movie lovers that love movie art!!!
What a beautiful vision to accompany the fabulous novel, and musical...
pretty good, I hate Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson and Gerard Butler make up for her horribleness.
One of my favorite musical movies. I saw it live and both are quite similar. All the cast is great and even if your not a fan of musicals I highly recommend you see this.
I love the book, the musical, and now the movie. The gal who plays Christine was wonderful especially her rendition of Think of Me.
Let's be generous here - musicals in the round tend to be brain-numbingly tedious, and Andrew Lloyd-Webber's output generally follows this tradition perfectly. But he seems to have slipped up here, big style, because not only is Phantom of the Opera halfway decent, it's also qui...( read more)
A great musical spectacular of a scale not seen since the fantastic Chicago a year ago.
If you only know the main Phantom theme tune, you will quickly learn to love the other beautiful tunes throughout this film.
I had never seen the stage show, nor knew the story before se...( read more)
A disfigured musical genius, hidden away in the Paris Opera House, terrorizes the opera company for the unwitting benefit of a young protégée whom he trains and loves.
the singing of the same song over and over and over drove me a little mad by the end =)
"In sleep he sang to me. In dreams he came. That voice which calls for me and speaks my name."
since i've witnessed this legend, i love the musical and cant forget it. whew.
the best movie i've appreciated so far,ate my heart out
Gerard Butler isn't your typical Phantom, but he pulled it off with great strength!!! Emmy voice is superb!
i liked this a lot more than i thought i would. i don't usually like musicals, but this one had such dark, beautiful music. gerard butler was wonderful!
This musical is certainly a masterpiece. I wonder why many critics didn't like it much. The story and the music was great, as well as the cast. This is a film I would love for the rest of my life.
Despite one's critic's opinion, I was moved by Gerard's singing as well as his gallant potrayal or this misunfortunate soul. Andrew Lloyd Weber at his best yet! better than the Broadway production, in my opinion.
The Phantom of the Opera is the movie in which "passion was put in to action"...Gerald Butler(the Phantom) really made every seen emotion filled...Can you imagine King Leonidas not only singing but also very good at it? :)
Oh Christine...why did you choose the ugly and uninteresting prince boy? I would have chose the Phantom.
I quite enjoyed this movie, the songs, action, drama was very good. Butler did a pretty good job as the phantom. Who'd have known that Rossum could sing so well also. In particular I liked the song they were singing when she pulled his mask off as well as the 'wandering child'.
