Wow, wicked freaky good sci fi flick...
  • November 16, 2009
    This is an excellent movie.
  • October 21, 2009
As sci-fi goes, it's a very good "what if" story which doesn't try to do anything too flashy.
  • October 5, 2009
Rather dated, improbable, stiffly acted, ridiculous at times and the plot is filled with holes, some of them gapingly large, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie for some reason. I was never bored.

hey i remember loving this film havent seen it in years though
  • August 9, 2009
This movie's biggest flaw is the absolute and utter lack of acting talent in it's main characters and lack of chemistry between them. It does have an interesting story but the terrible acting just drags it down way too much.

  • January 14, 2008
oh! I never watch too :O
  • November 18, 2007
An entertaining movie. Nevertheless, the references to the Philadelphia experiment's background are vague: no mention to Einstein nor Tesla nor to the conspiracy theories around the subject. Also, the love history doesn't add nothing at all to the movie. In the proper hands (read...( read more) Spielberg, for ex.), this would have been a five-stars movie.

again, a lovely 80's movie! childhood memories!
  • October 3, 2007

  • September 8, 2007
The book was great. Also, I grew up in Charleston, SC, and in one scene, Charlie Hall, a local newscaster, has a few lines as a captain. Great movie.

Although it does sound exciting, the poster reminds me of a grade 6 photography assignment. Think I'm gonna have to pass.
  • July 28, 2007
I was a big Michael Pare fan back in the day, so I enjoyed it. I think it makes a good Sunday afternoon time-waster.
  • July 17, 2007
Realy cool movie i like this movie.
  • July 14, 2007
Drags here and there but it's basically built on fact. The romance thing was a bit much.
  • June 18, 2007
Another classic sci fi movie from the 80's. Michael Pare was brillant and for a 13 year old kid at the time, it was magical to watch. (today its probably faded with time, but hope to come across it again one day)

I thought this was a pretty cool movie back in the day! LOL
  • June 8, 2007
A very good premise that wasn't executed properly. A bit dumb at times, but a decent movie. If you're a conspiracy theorist this is a wet dream for you.
  • May 25, 2007
Although this movie may lack a bit in the acting talent, the plot is so ineresting, it is easy to become caught up in the "time travel' and overlook the acting. The storyline is powerful.
  • May 20, 2007
The beginning was good but it all derailed afterwards
  • May 9, 2007
I liked this remakes more than the original

Saliors aboard a destroyer back in WWII are used as a time traveling experiment and as the experiment goes wrong, two sailors jump ship to escape. When they do they are hurled to the 1980's and are forced to find out what happened to their shipmates. During their 80's stay, they ...( read more)are pursued by a back cloud which is the time portal they escaped. Good plot, and a bit of time flip flop but to to confusing. Good movie.

A surprisingly good movie starring a somewhat underrated Michael Pare. His second best film next to Eddie and the Cruisers.
  • March 7, 2007
A good time travel film about a World War II soldiers who travel through time to 1984. Michael Pare and Nancy Allen star in this cult classic film. A great story and great effects.
  • March 3, 2007
Time travel story that's strangely devoid of the usual humour and charm that's associated with this kind of thing. Dull and rather pointless; the similar The Final Countdown is far better.
  • January 5, 2007
did this really happen. On the edge of your seat film. Michael Pare at his best
  • December 4, 2006
Wildly implausible sci-fi tale - good action, romance and, of course, fun.
  • November 15, 2006
I thought this one was really good. Sappy special effects, but an interesting love story.
  • October 27, 2006
Not bad, Michae Pare what a babe!!!
  • October 17, 2006
Kind of cheesy but also thought provoking and suspenseful. Michael Pare' deserves a special award as one of the best good/bad actors of the 80's
  • October 13, 2006
The story is good, the movie..so so
  • September 11, 2006
I grew up watching this, and i still like it very much.
  • August 10, 2006
Fun 80's sci-fi with the added bonus of the actual experiment really did happen. Details are it is still classified to this day. :-p
