I was expecting a typical Veggie Tales movie -- you know, a feel good movie with references to God. I didn't get it. Veggie Tales seems to have gone main stream.
HOWEVER, if I had a choice between kids watching this and say, Happy Feet, I'd choose this every time.
I was really dissappointed with this movie! I love Veggietales and all the short movies are hilarious. The Jona movies that came out was also really good! This one came out in theaters, you'd think they'd make it perfect seeing as to how much time and work it takes to make an animated movie! I was hoping it'd be a spoof on Pirates of the Caribbean...but no... It had some exciting parts and some funny parts but in between it was just boring. The little kids in the theater around me were about to rebel! I'm so sad this didn't turn out better :(
It was really cute! Went to see it with my little siblings. Never going to do that agian! It was crazy cause there were all these kids talking and moving, it was simply outrageous! But there were a lot of funny lines.
It was pretty good for the most part, however I was surprised that the let the villain drown, proceeded by an awards ceremony. It does raise some questions about why they did that specifically. That aside, it was pretty good. I also think that if parents are disappointed at the lack of biblical themes they should use the movie as an opportunity to talk about what the bible has to say about , for example, forgivness.
We are the pirates who don't do anything. We just stay home and lay around and if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you...we don't do anything.
Ok. before you discount my views as being just a bias Veggie fan; I did think this film started out a little slow. I think Big Idea was going for a more serious tone to it & that kinda don't work well in the realm of vegetables. lol But as the story progressed, & the jokes increased, it turned into a really enjoyable film. They deffinitely deserve an award for the animation!! The lighting & water sequences were amazing for CGI!! And the 'Rock-Monster' video was funny as heck!! Loved it! :)
im 13 and i used to watch this but i stoppe dkwatching it when i was 5 becauase i just got kinda bored with it i guess so no i do not want to see this movie but i do thnk it would be a very good movie for younger kids like 5 and under
