Aside from Steve Guttenberg's presence, not a bad version of the story. It takes liberties and differs vastly in parts from the book or the '72 film, but it is of interest if you are a fan of either. Stay away from the more recent 'Poseidon' excuse for a movie.

MCT:April 15, 2008Not to be confused with the 1972 original with Gene Hackman. This clunker is so full of B-list actors and actresses that it's no surprise why the ship capsized anyway.

MCT:December 3, 2007This movie was just ok for me. The acting was not great and some of the scenes were stretched out too much. Adam Baldwin probaby did the best acting in this movie. The graphics were not that great either. I guess that comes with a low budget movie.

thats why this seemed like a tv movie - cause it was. I thought this was the movie but apparently i was incorrect.. ha ha. This is ok for a tv movie but nothing great really stands out. I never felt any suspense - but maybe thats cause i knew the ending already.. lol

There's nothing especiall about this movie. Nohing new about the story: a bunch of people trying to survive on a sinking ship. The visual effects are also very poor. I was expecting more from this one. Only the cast performance prevented it from being a total desapointing flick.

I thought this was the original poseidon adventure (which I have since found out isn't that much better) and rented it by mistake. It is very slow and way too long. I'm fine with a long, slow movie as long as it is a well written. This one is not. 1

I haven't seen a sequel made this poorly since Home Alone 3. Quite possibly the worst soundtrack possible, the worst acting, the worst plotline ... AND it was as long as Titanic. Other than that, it was great.

I thought this was the new version of the movie but it turned out to be a bad remake of the original version. A really bad remake.

as long as its the old one with gene hackman, i didn't like teh remake. The characters were not as likeable as the original.

Some of the death scenes were good, but it looked as if none of the actors and actresses involved put in an effort. This was so predictable as well. First hour was boring.

Only made it through the first half, I doubt it got much better. Horrible acting, worse music and worst yet was the dialouge.
