January 1, 2008(2006 Director: Christopher Nolan!) Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansen, Chrisian Bale, Michael Caine AND DAVID BOWIE!! WHAT A CAST!! I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE! My son says it is dumb! LOL but..I hope for a bit more than The Illusionist (no offense to the wonderful cast of that movie) Watched his movie today (New Year's) in parts. It seemed kind of long but enjoyed it. I thought it was rather oriiginal. I liked the historical aspect & the setting oin likely what the late 1800"s (there was electriicity invented obviously)

August 4, 2007I donno. I enjoyed it, but the last 45 minutes to an hour of the movie was far too predictable. However, it was still enjoyable. I saw it in theaters, and i recommend watching it on the biggest tv you can find.

June 27, 2007i watched the prestige wen it was released into the theatres and i loved it from start to finish. then after some time i watched the illusionist. boy oh boy a much better film

June 11, 2007This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Christian Bale is an amazing actor who knows just how to set the mood of the scene. Loved the ending.

The best movie I have seen in years, it has to be followed very closly, and listen to every word said. If you don't understand it, watch it again, then things start to come together, it is a total illusion, being played out all through the movie. Thumbs up on this one, well done.

April 19, 2007this was an amazing movie!!!! i could watch it over and over again!!!!! just billiant!!! i love a good movie with a twist!! I watch the illusionist before this and that movie was sooo much worse. i think this movie could not of been played out any better!

Nikola Tesla is why we have alternating currernt and hydroelectricity...niagra falls. He's actually my ancestor. Its upsetting NO ONE knows who he is. Hes done so much for the world, and was so ahead of his time. Scientist now are just on the verge of discoverying things he was theorizing back in 1896. He was brillaint and way way past his time.

April 5, 2007Apart from the direction,the acting etc., I really enjoyed that a movie finally spoke about the greatest, yet generally unknown, scientist of all times, Nicola Tesla(how many of the reviewers actually know who he is?).What disappointed me is that in no review he is refered to,although he is the only existing person in the whole story!Great movie,though,one revealing shock after the other!

April 3, 2007a total disapointment .... i was expecting something spectacular from such a cast, but - the result was ... weak, the twist was ok, but it was just so slow ...
not what i call a gripping movie ... it could have been so much more interesting, could have been fantastic, if it was rewritten it could still prove to be something brilliant ... the trailer made it look interesting, i couldn't believe it was the same movie ... it's yet another movie that you could happily leave in the middle not feeling that you are missing anything ... -

March 24, 2007Really really good. I was so surprised how well the storyline played out. Amazing performances by Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale made this movie so much better. And Michael Cane d so well too. Such a great cast for such agreat movie. Sure to be a classic.

hmm..saw this movie and loved it heaps..then i saw the illusionist...and that movie definitely left me speechless...i kinda like everthing in the illusionist better..the prestige was interesting but very confusing that i had to watch it again to understand it...but it was good n e ways...yet the illusionist will be first on my list and the prestige second... :)

March 10, 2007This is now one of my FAVORITE MOVIES! I loved it so much. The only problem was I saw it when it was about midnight so had a little trouble understanding what was going on and was confused for an hour. Oh well, its still awesome
