Hard to find adaptation of Lovecraft's Case of Charles Dexter Ward, with something of a noir twist (if I'm remembering correctly).
Smart, but boring horror. Some scenes were extremelly creepy though.

Decent enough. A couple of good scenes. Pretty much a R-rated X-Files episode.
A particularly solid Lovecraft film that treats the material far more like the author did himself than someone like Stuart Gordon (love his work, but he does get uber-sleazy). O'Bannon shows still he's a far better writer than director, but he did some amazing touches with this f...( read more)
Maybe it's just impossible to get Lovecraft properly translated to the screen. Anybody have some suggestions that might prove me wrong?
