Very enjoyable happy movie. Lighthearted yet inspiring.

Love this kind of films, where a teacher comes out of nowhere and changes the lives of his students. Because that rarely (never?) happens in real life. Maybe not the best movie in its kind, but surely does the trick. Matthew Perry is magical.

This is based on the true story of teacher Ron Clark, who leaves his small hometown to teach in one of Harlem's toughest schools.

While this movie is obviously nothing new it's made with such care and respect for its story that you can't help but like it. Even though some of the side stories could've used some more development (mostly dealing with the kids' lives outside of school), the movie still does a g...( read more)ood job with what it has to work with. Matthew Perry gives a fantastic performance, and I was really impressed by some of the kids' performances. Because of this, the movie is touching to an extent you would not expect. This is probably one of the best made for television movies I've ever seen.

It's a very inspiring story. You have to see it for yourself.

If I said a TV Movie deserved an Oscar would you belive me? Or how about Perry getting a Best Actor Oscar? Well either way you look at it, this was one of the most light hearted and enjoyable true stories and dramas out there. To say anymore besides, that I enjoyed it, I can not.

A brilliantly touching film based on real life events. It goes to show that almost anything can be accomplished with a lot of faith, a bit of fun and endless perseverance. The story of Ron Clark inspires all of us to do the best we can- and then some.
