Beck is anxious to retire from his dangerous work and open a small restaurant. Walker tells Beck he'll be free and clear with enough cash to fulfill his dream if he does one more job. Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"A tolerable alternative when everything else playing at the mall is sold out on Saturday night."
‑ Andrew O'Hehir,
"If Arnold Schwarzenegger had made a movie this tepid in his Commando/Terminator heyday, burned fans would be suggesting that he pursue some tenure as a Fresno alderman."
‑ , USA Today
"Mildly entertaining action movie with The Rock."
‑ Nell Minow, Common Sense Media
"If, like me, you dismissed The Rundown as just another stupid action vehicle for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - get in the apology line behind me"
‑ Brian Mckay,
"O diretor Peter Berg e sua equipe foram assaltados quando estiveram no Brasil à procura de locações. Pois bem: eles se vingaram - e este longa é a prova disto."
‑ Pablo Villaca, Cinema em Cena
"The Rock ... has a special quality."
‑ Desson Thomson, Washington Post
"Too often brings guffaws at all the wrong moments, when it's not being simply too stupid for words."
‑ Peter Howell, Toronto Star
"I think you can smell what the Rock is cooking: a dish that'll fatten your head but pleasantly plump your gut. [Blu-ray]"
‑ Peter Canavese, Groucho Reviews
"It's Midnight Run with added insects but with only a twentieth of the humour and a hundredth of the charm."
‑ Harry Guerin, RTE Interactive (Dublin, Ireland)
"[L]ikely to cement The Rock's place at the top of the current action hero pile."
‑ Austin O'Connor, Lowell Sun
"Will probably make a star of the Rock."
‑ Stephen Hunter, Washington Post
"While you won't exactly walk out humming the plot, The Rundown should go down quite decently with popcorn."
‑ Moira MacDonald, Seattle Times
"Sounds worse the more you talk about it."
‑ Nick Schager, Lessons of Darkness
"It's slick, it's loud, and it's catalyzing--a gadfly of a film from a subversive filmmaker approaching the mainstream but not quite there yet."
‑ Walter Chaw, Film Freak Central
"A letdown, more marketing tool than movie."
‑ James Verniere, Boston Herald
