I watched this because I was in desperate in need of a really silly and light movie and it was the only thing available around me! And of course, I got exactly what I wished for.
Sweet and fun, suitable to pass the time and just get involved in the characters' stories. Maybe sl...( read more) -

Cute and harmless, it needs to be taken a little bit more seriously as it is not your average teen-chick flick. The performances are nice and every character is surprisingly well developed for, well, this kind of movie. We have to deal with the fact that this world, in its...( read more)

Family-friendly films for girls usually drip with phony commercialism and pettiness of character; by comparison, this is not only a class-act, but a godsend. A super-estrogenized film, no doubt, but it speaks rather warmly and sincerely to the universal struggles of adolescence. ...( read more)

I thought that they did a good job of staying true to the book and the characters. It's a great story about friendship and my fave girls' story in this one was Tibby & Bailey.

This movie is so cute. I still cry every time Bailey is sick in the hospital. Everyone should have friends like that.

This is just a cute, girly movie. I thought each of the storylines went together well and it was happy movie to watch with my friends.

A sweet-natured journey not to a galaxy far, far away, but to someplace just as mysterious: the first tentative steps toward adulthood, taken here by four teenage girls. full review
Working from a deft script by Delia Ephron, director Ken Kwapis labors hard so that guys won't cringe (too much) as four teen girls, of different body types, pass along the same pair of lucky jeans du... full review

This Sisterhood is real pleasure, a big-hearted movie where a group of gifted actresses find opportunities most younger movie stars can only dream about. full review
The film's acknowledgement that growing up often requires coming to terms with loss results in a mature, untidy view of adolescence. full review

February 24, 2008Well, I cannot believe I just gave a chick flick a good rating. I tuned in to this movie because I was extremely bored and nothing else was on. I usually avoid chick flicks at all cost, because they are usually too girly and melodramatic, and i am basically, a guy in a girl’s body, but i said what the hell? Just watch the movie, and if you hate it, you hate it. That is just it. I did not hate it. In fact, i loved it. It was not at all too dramatic. It was not some dinky girly lame-brain movie. It actually was about things that mattered. One of the girls have unresolved anger towards her father for leaving her at a very young age and then forming another entirely different family, leaving her feeling like he was ashamed of her. Another girl had unresolved feelings about her mother’s death and did something she later regretted because she realized that at the time she was running away from the pain and thoughts of losing her mom. Another girl finds herself caught in a Romeo and Juliet situation, when she visits her family in Greece, and falls in love with the son of a family of which her family considers rivals. Lastly, one depressed emotionless girl find herself forced to be friends with a little girl who wants to be her assistant. She later finds out that the little girl has a terrible disease and she realizes that this little girl helped her find and express her emotions and find her heart. It was a nice movie. I really liked it, to my surprise.

June 16, 2007the movie had nothing to do with the book. it was soo wrong. only half the movie was right...
for instance: Lena's grandmother wanted desperatley for her to like/love Kostos...DUH...god did no one who read the book first then saw the movie think 'hold up a second thats wrong'...Grrr...either way it was a good movie and lets see when they make the second movie how acurate they are. -
