A day in the life of a band of rubbish superheroes. While I'll admit this probably had a budget of about 74 dollars, it's still pretty woeful and unfunny, and a bit boring, and quite predictable and pointless too. The star is for Deadly Girl who has the only decent line: "What's ...( read more)

A superhero movie driven by quirky characters and not at all by superpowers.

It's the X-men meets The Real World. Written by James Gunn, who co-wrote Tromeo and Juliet with Lloyd Kaufman and wrote and directed Slither, this movie is kicks the living shit out of Mystery Men.

Sharp, funny writing and terrific performances override pretty pedestrian direction to make this an entertaining satire of superheroes, and a (very) low-budget companion piece to MYSTERY MEN.

Wicked small flick about a superhero spoof. Has a good cast but is obviously a lower budget film but does not suffer forthis in fact probably benefits. A good story with genuinly funny script and a good soundtrack to boot. Definatly worth a watch.

Far better than Mystery Men but alas, sorely lacking in the budget department. But what the film lacks in effects it more than makes up for in terms of performances (Thomas Hayden Church, Rob Lowe and priceless jem Judy Greer) and clever skewing of super-hero conventions.

not bad. what mystery men should have been. the best part of the dvd is the commentary, when james gunn and paget brewster realize they had secret crushes on each other during filming and missed their opportunity for a relationship.

This is a lot funnier that I thought it would be. If you like superheroes even a little bit, you should check this out.
