I watched it on a plane and it was perfect to pass the time, but otherwise nothing exceptional. It makes one think whether the idea of a perfect neighbourhood really is so perfect after all.

MCT:July 29, 2008A tongue-in-cheek remake that is as good as it is because of the fantastic cast - especially Glenn Close and Bette Midler who portray their characters hilariously. Not for everyone I suspect, some will think the humour is a bit dark for their tastes whereas others probably will think its not dark enough, I guess it depends on your taste. Entertaining, funny and pretty light entertainment.

this movie is brilliant and its all full of a great cast...
Christopher Walker, Glenn Close, Nicole Kidnam...what else can you expect?

quite creepy, a little bit boring, but tolerable, quite a surprise that a woman was behind the entire operation when it seemed that it were the women oppressed by a lot of wimpy men

I wish the movie could have been a bit more darker, and more in touch with the truth, since this is a matter happening in some societies, in our own world. But still, the movie is based on a book that contains mostly "fiction", so I guess there wasn't too much to do there. Though the humoristic aspects were still entertaining.

Disgusting - I hate men like those stepford husbands.
I didn't really enjoy this film. The plot was a little ridiculous.

I liked the original. This remake was okay, but it's a comedy. Or at last I found it funny, which isn't what the story was supposed to be.

The stepford wives is an interesting movie! I thought it was going to be a normal movie but it wasn't. It is about a town where men control their women with remotes! lol ! Yeah that's right! I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to have some fun!
