They were a group of college kids heading back home for the summer, and when they noticed a shortcut through the countryside, the idea of cutting their travel time in half was just too tempting to pass up. Upon rolling into the small town of Black Wood, however, the teens cross paths with legendary serial killer Ed Craven - better known as Hammer Head to the rattled and weary locals. Craven got his nickname for his penchant of dispatching his victims with a hammer, and now that some fresh meat has come to town the Hammer Head is ready to go hunting again. As the chase gets under way, these teens are about to discover why sometimes, when it comes to local legends, it's better to be safe than sorry. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
