Nice animation and cute story... I enjoyed The Tale of Despereaux with its classic 'knight rescues princess' theme, but some parts are a bit too dark and morally questionable for younger children.

This movie is filled with every possible moral and value a person would want to teach their child. The only problem would be trying to keep their attention on the movie. Its a very slow go, but if you think you can sit through it I would say watch it, but save it for a rainy day.

good animation, and a lot of main actors lent their voices to this. but they changed some things from the book, and that was too bad.
