It had a lot to say and it didn't really do a great job of it. Parts were a bit preachy and the lead character was a little too whiny for my liking.

The Truth About Jane is an inspiring story about how a young girl begins to discover the pains of her sexuality and her family's gradual coming to gripes with it. I like how the movie ended with an irony with Jane commenting on how far her mother has grown and also Jane's teacher...( read more)

I remember seeing this movie on Lifetime when I was teenager...this movie is a pretty good depiction of coming out to parents and teachers while still in high school. And Jane is pretty hot too, so that helps.

oh my god I cried like a baby when she came to Ms. Walcotts house.
I like the story it's really touching and the acting's good, love Stockard Channing, Ellen Muth and Kelly Rowan. oh I wanna see it againg.
