"What happened if a handsome vampire fall in love with you?"

    Plot :
It's a high kicking showdown on the darkside when two young girls are chosen to battle the Fifth Prince of the Vampire Nation. The Duke, one the most dangerous of the undead is determined to bring a new age of darkness upon the earth as the hunts the Fifth Prince with vial of blood and ancient Vampire Bible. But ace vampire slayer Reeve will not rest until the fight is over and with the help of his innocent sister, a fiesty young beauty and an unlikely hero, they wage the ultimate martial arts showdown!

    Channelia's words

A fancy movie from China . Which became a box-office there and crap outside .

With story that is Twilight looked-alike plus Underworld's action pack drama . Twins Effect is not more than stupid Chinese comedy with great cameo such as Jackie Chan and a really BAD 3D effect .

With not-too-cliche love story but lame one . Twins Effect is a parade of cute-faced humans and vampires . With only blue contact lenses and fake teeth , the make up itself just so simple .
Plus the freaky action scenes , the so-not-hillarious fighting scenes . Packaged with BAD score .

    The casting just so-so .
With the eye-candy Edison Chen as Kazaf , the Vampire Prince , Edward Cullen type . Charlene Choi as Helen , not really fascinating acting . But , surely not an Isabella Swan here . The rest of the casts just so-so . Even Jackie Chan was BETTER than them all .

At the end, this movie just another crap from China . The only thing worth was just only the idea , of humanxvampire itself .

A movie my daughter picked out at Hollywood Video. It ended up being a very good movie with great kung fu and a good story line and of course plenty of good natured comedy. Much better than its "sequel".

I may be bias on this movie due to its stacked cast and having my favourite monster -vampires. Nonetheless, it is a very entertaining film about killing a cocasian vampire from being the ultimate vampire. And no, he's not Dracula.

Japanese pop stars are all that stands between humanity and a powerful vampire. It's closer to Buffy the Vampire Slayer than a serious horror flick, though fast-paced enough to be enjoyable. Jackie Chan's picture on the box art is justified by a 10-minute cameo as a paramedic, giving him a chance to indulge in some serious Kung-Foolery.

Think Chinese 'Buffy'! Sweet cast, production, fx, fights...but too many slow-moving romance/drama parts for guys.

Guilty pleasure admission. HongKong movies are expertise in great sound and visual effects, to compensate the story plot. Great fighting scenes.

    B-movie fun!

If you are a fan of Jackie Chan's Chinese movies, this is for you. Jackie is just a minor character but the action is great and the plot is hilarious. The girls are fun to watch!
Be warned, the vampires can look a little stupid at times.

This movie, aka Chin Gei Bin and The Twins Effect, sucked. That was not meant to be a vampire movie pun. The Vampire Effect had lame special effects, mediocre acting, a shitty plot, and a bad ending.

Feel free to consider this a benefit, but it has a cameo by Jackie Chan playing a character named Jackie. But even he used wires in this movie.

It is about European vampires trying to take over the kingdom of the Chinese vampires. They want the secret to being a super, daywalking vampire. Lame. Don't bother.

The best thing about this movie, believe it or not, is the humor. It's funny as hell in a campy way without being cheesy. The violence is stylized if not muted, so don't expect any gore. Some of the fighting scences are awesome and the story is not bad. I'd recommend seeing this one.

Lots of questions about this movie. Why is the story so bad? Why are the characters equally horrible? What's the purpose of Jackie Chan in this movie? And what in the world is the Twins Effect?

Hilariously cute! This has nothing to do with Vampire Effect with Jackie Chan. It's more about Mistresses and male slaves and a love story twisted around it. It's about twin sisters love of the same man. One twin truly loves the man and he her, but he didn't know she had a twin sister and bed her. In a rage the twin sisters cursed eachother, true one was killed and became spirit, the other an evil mistress and all the men became slaves.

Alright, the movie isn't that great and the dubbing is crap, but I was thoroughly entertained! I laughed through the whole movie! From Jackie Chan as an EMT drumming out a beat for some drugged up vampire to the crappy effects, I loved it!

so, EEG churn out another teeny-bopper...but this one has a twist, it has latched onto the american vampire movie trend like a leech...but i must admit this leach has my interest. ok, ok, i only originally watched this because it has charlene choi in it (and i love her) but it turned out ok. Expect the usual EEG cheesy lines, and all star HK bred cast in this hip, and cool vampire flick!

A vampire prince falls for a human girl, unaware that her brother is a famous vampire hunter. That's the underlying theme of this martial arts romp which borrows ideas from "Underworld" and "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" but manages to maintain a style of its own. I was bemused by the UK and Hong Kong title "The Twins Effect" as there are no twins involved in the story. It turns out that the two main female characters are played by Hong Kong pop stars who perform as "The Twins". Don't let this put you off. These girls can act (at least well enough for this type of film) and add a lot of charm to the proceedings. Jackie Chan turns up for a couple of cameo appearances adding a dash of his own brand of slapstick mayhem to the proceedings. All in all this is great fun for those who like their vampires served up with a helping of tongue-in-cheek humour.

Mt first exposure to the Twins. My thoughts during this movie:
"Ahh, those girls are so cute but... when are they gonna kiss?"
