This is one of Vincent Kartheiser's shining moments as an actor. As the seemingly good natured, but emotionally tormented Tommy, his emotions run the gamut from shyness, to sensativity, to psychotic. Andy Garcia is equally compelling as Michael the psychologist who tries to unlock the hidden secrets inside the younger man's soul, all the while grappling with his own demons over his son's death & the increasing rift between himself and his rebellious daughter.
Oh my gosh, this is such a sad story. i watched it today and it is just so sad. Its horrible that Tommy had to go trough that!!!! And Michael, (Andy Garcia) did such a good job trying to help him. Very good movie!!!
The Unsaid (2001) stars Andy Garcia as a psychiatrist who is haunted by the suicide of his 16 year old son. Three years has passed, and he relunctantly takes on a case of a troubled youth who is about to turn 18 years old and leave a group home that he has been staying at for several years after his mother has been murdered by his father. Garcia gives a believable performance as the troubled doctor as well as the performance of Vincent Kartheiser as the youth he is trying to help.
A great dramatical film in the true ascension of the word.
A movie filmed with scenes really dramatical and even though very chocking, with dialogs heavy and dense, but excellent interpreted. This history takes us until very realistic environments that could with all the certainty be a reality. This film approaches psychology and interior swagings of an intelligent and very realistic form, make to think us that any one of the scenes gifts in the film, can be to happen to our side, in a house of any family, with this does not intend to insinuate that it is a banal tram, but the truth is that everything in this film portraies very well the reality. All the dialogs had very been well written, since the beginning of the film, and the psychological component makes the film go to the direction sufficiently true for enhances all the drama lived for all the personages.
A great drama movie, more based in the real of what in the imagination.
I really liked the premise of this movie... it started off with a bang and really got me hooked, but It really didn't do too much after that. It seemed to be bordering on greatness, with a story that had potential but ended up being rather typical and overdone. It's a good movie, but also a slight miscalculation that could have been much better.

Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...
Evidentemente películas con matiz psicológico me apasionan y ésta película con un maduro Andy García es un ejemplo de la liberación real del ser humano, la cuál es interna y cuesta mucho dolor y sufrimiento.
