Funny just cuz Jack Bauer is a lion (1 star). Eddie Izzard's in it (1/2 star). Generic and Hollywoody. The animation was freakin' amazing, though, but the characters all had those creepo cgi eyes, though not as freaky as Cars. Those were too much.

Somebody at Disney made a huge blooper deciding to make this movie, especially so close to Madagascar. And as far as the story goes, there's nearly nothing new, and a complete lack of realism (sailing from NY to a tropical island without food or refilling fuel?). Some funny points, but really just another average Disney production.

Its the samething for kids movies. The kid gets lost and the parents look for him/her, but this is a cute animal movie.

Wild animals lost in New York sounds like something that couldn't happen but this movie shows a different story. Its not as funny as other animated movies but it still is a very good one.

I kind of like this movie. It was cute and sure it was similar to Madagascar and a lot of other Disney films- the Lion King, to name one. There were plenty of scenes that were coppies of that... But! Who's to say its not the other way around. Now I am not blaming anyone, but whos to say that Dreamworks didn't get some kind of memo that Disney was making a film called The Wild and it was about animals escaping the zoo. Who to say Dreamworks didn't copy Disney- who cares if theirs came out first? Theirs was also not as well animated as Disneys- maybe while Disney was fixing up the animation, Dreamworks sent theirs out with the ok for a kid's film, but frustratingly inacurate animation... But, whatever! I enjoyed this film, and while the begining was like Madagascar, the ending was nothing like it! And, the story line between the father and son, I thought that was rather excellent! Personally, I really enjoyed this movie! The humor could have been more kid friendly, but otherwise...
