needs to be explained a lot better.

This movie is not good, but it gets scored even lower for the promise it carried... and squandered. I mean, it had Sarandon, Pfeiffer and Nicholson as the devil. No one could screw this up without some sort of deliberate attempt to do so. It's hard to pinpoint what it was that I ...( read more)

Perfect cast...although the movie was somewhat a contraste to the book, the charcter portrayls were great, even if not as exact as the novel's idea...
