nice movie but to much singing
Michael scarred me as a kid when I went to see this movie but I love it and I have it in my collection
I love this one not because I am a big time Michael Jackson fan, but it was alot of fun and exciting.
I wanted to gouge my eyes out and jam Q-tips into my ears until I was deaf when this movie was finally over. Disco never looked or sounded so bad.
gets a high rating because i loved the people in this movie. who cares what the critics say
Loved this since I was a kid, its one of the few that seems not to fit into the mold of the rest of my favorite movies.
OMG! Every african american child and adult should see this. All star cast in the African American verison of the wizard of oz with a whole lotta soul!!
The magical adaptation of the Wizard of Oz put an urban spin on the movie.Diana Ross and Michael Jackson are a dynamic duo in this movie. Along with Nipsey Russells making you tap your toes with his fabulous song SLIDE SOME OIL TO ME........Mabel King as Evilene had us rolling on...( read more)
Ewww I hated it. You can't beat the original, so don't try. I almost fell asleep! And I would have if I didn't see it in school....
Wow...where to begin... umm... it has it's fans. I liked the music... but damn was it scray...for all the wrong reasons.
it was a inspirational movie and i loved the dancing and singing, especially "Ease on Down the Road"
it would be really good if it wasnt a musical. I love the way the munchkins were graffiti though. But that song at the end "just believe in yourself or whatever" was soooo boring.
A notably bad remake of Victor Fleming's 1939 masterpiece The Wizard of Oz. The only good thing is the soundtrack, with some really good songs performed by Diana Ross and Michael "The Thing" Jackson
If you love musicals, you should definitely see "THE WIZ". This was one of the best movies featuring talented African-American actors. Diana Ross (who played Dorothy) was phenomenal and sensational.
Michael Jackson did a great job on playing the scarecrow. The Black version of the Wizard Of Oz!!
I love this movie, wonderful music, Michael Jackson when he was black..."Ease on down the road!"
I love this movie!!!! Back when Micheal was black, and before Diana was just a ball of hair!!
