Great story, and I often imagined myself as a young JG. Carlyle is great as the coach, and you are kept watching with the blackmailing chairman.

Although the acting was quite bad with the likes of Lewis McKenzie, it was somehow saved by great actors like Ben Miller, Ray Winstone and Robert Carlisle

This is one of those easy watch films, Winston and carlisle didn't have a huge role in the film but they were in it enough to make this film good. I enjoyed it.

first of all i have to say that brith movies at the moment are at from the last couple that i have saw we are improving on the movies that we are creating
this is another fine example, you cant get enough of underdog stories no matter what the story line, is i mean its kinda along the same line as goal, but its every kids dream to play at the stadium of his team and get a chance to play for his team
robert carlyle and ras winstone were great in this movie, they didnt have that much of a big role because lewis mckenzie was the main character and it was manly set on him
i would gladly watch this again, i think that there is a hidden meaning in this movie and that is that theres nothing wrong in being different and if you believe in something then go and get it -

I thought that this film was amazing, it's different and worth watching.
It has humour and a happening. A film everyone can find funny and interesting and wanting to watch! -

MCT:June 27, 2006My favourite movie, its just so real to life. It could vbe corny, but the cast is so strong its never not fantastic. Soundtrack is ace, the visuals are tops and it's just spot on. It's as good as everyone says Billy Elliot is.
