  It had to happen, spaghetti westerns got too obscure, too gritty, the genre got saturated with stories of vengeance. Trinity came along and stablished a new route, comedy started to become more incorporated into sw, becoming a sub-genre of it's own. While the first Trinity movie doesn't offer any big surprises it works well and shows Spencer and Hill working his buddy chemistry to good use. Eventually better movies like Compañeros would come out, but for what it did Trinity is certainly an important point in the history of spaghetti westerns.

  Fun, influential spaghetti Western with great comic chemistry between cocky, wise-guy Hill and weary behemoth Spencer. My only complaint is that the film suffers in comparison with 1974's exquisite "My Name Is Nobody" (also starring Hill). The direction is less stylish, the humor isn't as sharp and (no small flaw) Ennio Morricone did not score it.
