Very realistic (especially in society of today), great performances by Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood.

I guess this movie was supposed to help parents & teens and shed light on things parents & other adults didn't know about but I think it came out about ten years TOO late.

Awesome movie, but it's still really confusing and very vague. You have to pay close attention to get the full effect.

Some parts are a little strange. But that aside, it's a very good and nice movie to watch. Portrays teen pressure to fit in very well.

Great touching story, full of moral. Evan's best performance to date. Could watch it over and over again and still cry in the end

since i was high the whole time i watched this shit i thought it was completely fucking hillarious. supposedly, it's about these two bf4evr that are liek SOoOoOo kraky liek they do stuff like drinking beer and smoking pot and cutting themselves and liek making out with guys and shit and practising their kissing on each other and idiotic things like that and theyr liek only thirteen OMG!!! well, i agree that that behaviour does tend to appear a little bit later in human life, so i kindof understood the shock value of the stupid film... UNTIL i fucking watched it... they should've picked girls that ACTUALLY looked moar like 13 yearolds goddammit. THAT way it would have had SOME shock value... it would have still sucked, but with shock value.

Really a well-done, well-acted movie. Evan Rachel Wood is great as always, and to think that Nikki Reed didn't just start in but also co-wrote the movie is amazing considering her age at the time. Even so, I don't know that I could stomach watching it again. It was such a real, gritty, uncomfortable look at the way so many teenage girls actually are that it was hard to take.

These young ladies actually did a very good job. Realistic enough story to concern the parents of any young teen.
Take care of yourselves I say.

Snapped and stabbed evry girl who wants to be jocks . The acting just nice and enjoyable .But , the most annoying one is the 'shaky-dizzy' camera and the lights ,just very amateur and it's very easy to be expired because of it's setting .

"Hit me. I'm serious, I can't feel anything, hit me! Again, do it harder! I can't feel anything, this is awesome! "
Thirteen is a roller coaster of a ride. The Life of teenager Tracey is in upheaval after she meets a wild teenage girl from school(Eevie)

    A great intense movie.

Way too many mistakes!! The story is intense and utterly depressing and touching, but the film has as many plot holes as a cheese!

If, after seeing this movie, you feel the need to do drugs and slut around, then the movie and its message really got into you. Because that's what this movie is about, showing how and why that "life style" is so appealing to young girls. Now, if you copy the girls, they you're an idiot. Kudos to Nikki Reed for her excellent portrayal of a lost young girl that tries to find her way by getting herself more lost girls and to Holly Hunter, a mother who did nothing wrong but ended up with a very fucked up girl. Life sucks sometimes.
Note: if you're a parent with a young girl, then you NEED to watch this movie.

Pretty good portrayal of what teenage life is all about. Evan Rachel Wood is good as the lead, but she cries too much for my liking.

Insteresting aproach to the pre-teen world. I guess it sums up the emptyness that is going around in our youth

Saw it in English class. It was not really good, but it shows you one side of how it is too be a young teenager. This girl has much anger in herself, is rather depressed, takes drugs, steals and well, it ain't going so well for her in life.
    It's a little interesting though.
