Excellent movie but kind of sad in a way as well. It showed what would of been an amazing concert...the music was excellent. It's sad that he died before he was able to perform this concert

This was a rare look at the King of Pop drawn from hundreds of hours of rehearsals and behind-the-scenes footage at Staples Center and you get a chance to see Michael like never before. He is such a genious and this film shows that to the fullest.

"Like You've Never Seen Him Before "

The MJ I saw here was really like I've never seen him before. Very thin and weak. Even if I didn't live the time during the peak of MJ's career, I became sympathetic. Anyway, I was entertained. Music documentaries isn't really my thing but MJ...( read more)'s This Is It satisfies.

Well. It was the last taste of the living king of pop we will ever get. It was beautiful. He was so commanding. He looked a bit shaky at times. He was such a skinny man. So sleander. He still moved in the most originonal and uncopiable ways. The Pioneer.

It's like Michael himself...either you'll love it or you'll hate it!
The one thing that impressed me most about this movie was the fact that this 50 year old "junkie" was doing some very impressive choreography, (like only MJ can do) the night before he died and was literally ...( read more)"spanking" his backup dancers the entire time without ever breaking a sweat!
He matched them "move for move," even did more than they were doing most of the time, never missing a note or a step. At the end of some numbers he would stop, discuss any changes he wanted to make, etc. and wasn't even out of breath...while the "20 something" backup dancers were literally looking like "whipped dogs" most of the time.
No doubt the people in post production worked their "magic" in editing the film to some degree but the man was dead for goodness sake so it was impossible for them to dub over his voice during these conversations or re-shoot those pieces, etc. to make him sound like he wasn't out of breath after those routines.
It was obvious he was in better condition physically than the press would like you to believe.
Don't get me wrong, I am not and never have been a huge MJ fan. I do think he was a very talented individual that had some serious issues that unfortunately he was never able to deal with and died way too young as a result but I honesty don't believe after seeing this movie that being a "strung-out, junkie" was one of those issues!
    R.I.P. Michael.....

There is no denying that this is probably just one last payout before they close the coffin on Michael Jackson, but the audience does get their money's worth. I loved this documentary in IMAX. The only thing that could have been better is MJ being alive to complete the actual tour. I danced in my seat; I cried; and I laughed. I miss Michael already.

Let me tell you one thing: if you missed the movie, you missed half of your life. This is insane. This is-- witnessing a person before his worldwide-shocker death. Michael Jackson is a legend. He will never be a myth. His name is tattooed in our brains and in our hearts because h...( read more)e was the magic that makes music what it is right now. He has started everything we love in music right now and to witness him be what he really is in the big screen and hear his voice in surround sound cinema speaker is a once in a lifetime opportunity because this shooting star only come once.

This Is It features a dying star's final days. But as that star dies, a new star is born. Her name is Orianthi Panagaris. You've seen her. She was the awesome girl playing the guitar for Michael. She's like a combination of Slash, Santana, and Van Halen. Working with a legend must've knocked the strings out of Orianthi's guitar.

Bottom line: "This Is It" is really it. So don't die without watching this documentary.
