MCT:August 19, 2008ENGLISH: Dull and depressing, this movie deals shallowly and uninventively with important themes such as personal integrity. Among the various irritating aspects, Ian Curtis is mentioned a number of times and 2 Joy Division's songs are in the soundtrack: this movie definitely does not deserve such poetic and musical references.
ITALIANO: Noioso e deprimente, il film tratta in modo superficiale e privo di inventiva tematiche importanti come l'integrita' personale. Fra i vari aspetti irritanti, viene citato diverse volte Ian Curtis e la colonna sonora include 2 brani dei Joy Division: questo film non merita assolutamente tali riferimenti poetici e musicali. -
MCT:January 31, 2007I really loved this. It's flawed, and a bit overlong/slow, but i felt i could relate to it so much, that it really ended up affecting me.

I did not get to finish watching this which iritated me. Up until the part i saw I thought the movie was brilliant but otherwise it is hard to say.

A solid Aussie drama that has great perforamnces by David Wenham, Frances O'Connor and Sarah Wynter but I didn't feel that it exlore the thremes that it was trying to tell us enough. Good but not great.
