Directed by Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy played Spock on STAR TREK. "Dr. Spock" was a famous pediatrician. Coincidence? And what of the creepy "ghost boy" that makes a notorious cameo in the film?
Leonard Nimoy (Spock from TV's Star Trek) directs this charming comedy about three bachelors who are left to care for the baby of a girlfriend--and one is the father! Ted Danson is slick as the decently successful actor whose baby it is, with Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg providing ample support as his roommates. Just plain nice.
i've seen Three Men and a Little Lady, the sequel to this movie, so now i want to see this one too. I love the cast and the story, so I bet it'll be good.
1987 seems half a life ago, but maybe it is! Better than I suspected it to be and these guys were at the top of their game back then so that made me get along to a viewing.
The music here, though, is exactly the kind of sugary drivel that is best left forgotten. And the fashions, of course, make everyone look like either a "Miami Vice" fan or an ultra clean cut Young Republican. "Three Men and a Baby" is a genuine artifact in this sense.
So this movie is directed by Spock? Strange...i remember they used to say that there were ghosts in the movie...do you remember they boy behind a curtain and a gun? Stupid as the movie itself.
Funny, very funny... 3 fellas handling a baby, wow! They did use identical twins for the baby role, and I found many of the scenes hysterical, especially some baby care and soothing attempts, hysterical. Who knew that these 3 guys could be wooed by an infant?!~
This remake of an old French Movie called Three men and a Cradle is alot of fun with Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Cheers star Ted Danson as three swinging bachelors who find a baby girl in basket with a note in it outside their apartment works as it has alot of generally good moments in it. This movie was such a hit that they made a 2'nd movie called Three men and a little lady...
It's been a long time since I've seen this one. But I think the whole mystery behing the supposed "ghost" on set is pretty cool. This is a classic 80's movie, and I love the music too.
Peter Mitchell (Selleck), Michael Kellam (Guttenberg) and Jack Holden (Danson) are happy living their lives as bachelors in their lofty New York City apartment which they share. They all have girlfriends, jobs and a carefree lifestyle. When a baby arrives on their doorstep one day with a note with the child, Mary? Baby Mary's mother named Sylvia (Nancy Travis) can't give up her career to raise her daughter.

Okay, I know the little boy's ghost thing is a hoax, but it still gives me a chill when I watch this and it comes to that scene... apart from that, a sweet, great movie. Just love Guttenberg & Tom Selleck.
