Critic Reviews

  • Blake French, Filmcritic.com

If you think the adults on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader are dumb, wait until you meet this couple.

  • Rich Cline, Shadows on the Wall

This lost-in-the-woods thriller actually holds our interest thanks to good performances from the central duo. Everything else in this film is completely bonkers.

  • Steve Biodrowski, ESplatter

Although clearly derivative, the film works hard to assemble its familiar pieces into something that works in its own right.

  • Anton Bitel, Eye for Film

Not only will you have a pretty good idea from the start what is going to happen to all these 'characters', but, even worse, you will not care when it does. A film so soulless deserves to be confined to DVD hell.

  • Luke Y. Thompson, L.A. Weekly

Giglio doesn't quite seem able to decide what his tone is, incongruously mixing goofy redneck humor with harrowing scenes of intense pain, but horror fans should dig it nonetheless

Well, I didn't see THAT coming.

Another very average horror set off the beaten track. A couple of familiar faces in the cast and it is quite gory in parts. However it feels like it's trying to ride the coat tails of Wrong Turn, The hills have eyes franchises. One for horror fans who don't mind a cheesey… More

It's not bad considering its genre (check my "Went Down the Wrong Road" Backwoods Horror List), but the last shot gives an auto deduction of half a star (the killer is still alive! and traveled to the victims' home town - it's not even laughable satire, just… More
