Chris Evans, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mako

After the defeat of their old arch nemesis, The Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart as a family. Struggling to keep them together, their rat sensei, Master Splinter, becomes worried when strange t...( read more  read more... )hings begin to brew in New York City. Tech-industrialist Max Winters is amassing an army of ancient monsters to apparently take over the world. And only one super-ninja fighting team can stop them--those heroes in a half shell--Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael! With the help of old allies April O'Neil and Casey Jones, the Turtles are in for the fight of their lives as they once again must face the mysterious Foot Clan, who has put its own ninja skills behind Winters' endeavors. Making this new incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles truly cutting-edge, the film will be created entirely with state-of-the-art CG animation, giving them a completely new look for the 21st century.

The Turtles are back and better than ever in this thrilling & funny CG adventure that's just as fun for kids as it is for adults and teens who grew up watching the animated series and live-action features.

If you were a fan of the movie mythology this movie ties it together nicely. I hope they make more like this.

Great re-entry for the Turtles, looks brilliant and slick, works for both kids and adults and the story, yet non original, is quite good. The Turtles were always a supremely original idea and worked sooo well in comic book form, even better as an adult comic. This is really good ...( read more)though and I'd like to see a sequel but maybe alittle harder for the adults this time ;)

brought back some old memories but nowhere near as good as the old childhood viewings of people in costumes. animation and c.g.i. really bite sometimes. i don't understand this desire to suddenly animate everything in the last few years. it's like ice age was funny and after that...( read more) everything else can.... piss off? still... another turtle adventure to get your teeth into

The magic is lost to me. I say stick to the original live action ones. The premise of this film is ridiculous, even for a story about mutant turtles, and the fight scenes are edited so precisely it's like they don't want the kids in the audience to see anyone get hit,

This film is so good, you'll forget it's animated.

    A must when having PIZZA!
  • October 15, 2009
NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL BUT STILL AN ENTERTAINING FILM

An OK animated version of the popular comic book. Kids only.

Claudia Puig, USA Today

It takes more than an awkward title attempting to sound cool to overcome its mundane plot and silly dialogue. full review

Steven Rea, Philadelphia Inquirer

There's an attention to detail in the visuals and sound design that pushes it up several notches above most kiddie fare. It's not art, dude, but it will do. full review

Kyle Smith, New York Post

Time stands still during the many feeble jokes; the Turtles comic book came out in 1984, the last year you could get a laugh just by ending a sentence with the word 'dude.' full review
