As much a political statement as it is a comedy. Probably Jack Benny's best work in film and the role for which he's most remembered. Mr. Benny kept me in stitches and Carole Lombard kept me drooling. What a talented, beautiful (and very funny!) actress.

a brilliant satire and a daring film to make in the early years of WW2 when not many were laughing. also the final screen appearance of the ridiculously beautiful and multi-talented carole lombard. hilarious. don't bother with the lame remake!

Their faces say so much with the slightest glance. Their brilliant comic timing is irresistible. It's a sardonic...( read more) story with sarcasm and genius to match.

A group of Polish theater actors try to make their job when the Second World War starts. These actors will see how they get implicated in a critical spy game. Elegant sense of humour from Lubitsch, who directs this sofisticated light comedy in which patriotic and personal affairs...( read more) get crossed in a good way.

This movie was a hoot. When I watched it it was in a group of four people and we ALL agreed it truly lived up to it's Screwball contemporaries!

When I first started watching it, I was thinking that Lombard and Benny was odd casting, but with that script - it was perfect. ...( read more)= D You definitely have to check this one out!
