one of the better films starring sidney poitier. its only faults are it gets a bit unrealistic towards the end and it seems a bit corny, but the last complaint can't be helped. noticed patricia routledge in it from "keeping up appearances". she's lost none of her mannerisms. haha...( read more)

I loved this movie when I saw it almost 40 years ago. Not too many movies you can remember for 40 years.
A classic... I'm surprised I haven't rated this sooner. Many later films used the same theme, but 'To Sir, With Love' is still my favorite.
