A stupid, stupid, stupid end of the world style film. Apparently when the world runs out of gas, people go mental. It will be impossible to grow crops (from what I gather) and all animals will die out forcing people to cannibalism. None of this is really explained in any depth. I...( read more)t just turns into a stalk and slash movie with Madsen and Jones in pretty much cameo roles. The acting isn't terrible and it breezes along OK, but the initial idea is so stupid it both infuriates and confuzzles.

Ridiculous plot to start off with. If you're going to say, "we just ran out of oil" is the reason for the "end of the world" that argument's gonna need to be fleshed out for me to even begin believing it, and the dialogue given about the past few years is too vague and fictionall...( read more)y stereotypical that it really had no point in the movie; we could have used a much more believable setting, even if it meant A) totally scrapping the oil idea or B) making this "no oil" world somewhere near factual as opposed to a scenario pulled out of the ass without bothering to even wipe it off at the library.
Now, onto the "horror" portion of this movie. It is a cannibal movie, very straight-forward, and actually the cannibal band does better than screenwriter when it comes to using logic. Right off the bat, I'd have to day that eating nothing but people does not make one a superbuff agile warrior. At best, you'd just be staying alive, not look all 'roided up and dressed in the leftover costuming from a Viking porno.
I think the killing scenes are pretty good. The cannibalism is held back til the end; really for a cannibal film, it's really short on people eatin.
I do like the tension provided by the victims staying huddled in a central building and the midday scene with the cannibals in the lot looking in at the people is creepy, but again, illogical. The 'seeking' scenes (when the people hide and the cannibals come to pick one dish for the night) are nicely cut and tense, but those are the highlights of this movie. So like maybe four good scenes and the rest is pointless bullshit.

Ok film with a intesting promise.Worth checking out.

Nothing original, but respectably done and decently acted; nice to see Robert Carradine in a change of pace role.

The basic story is interesting, but they fail to explain how everything turned out as it did and why they couldn't resolve the issue. As the movie proceeds it's easy to come up with better solutions to their problems which makes the experience very frustrating. Some parts are way...( read more) too slow and sentimental. Despite these flaws I found the movie pretty enjoyable, "end of the world"-stories is always engaging and Vinnie Jones is always worth seeing.

I'm a big fan of Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones. But, I believe Madsen was cast poorly in this type of role. Being a stalker doesn't cut it for him like the way it does for Jones. The general idea of this film is really quite dumb and doesn't make any sense. Yeah, it's a bit dif...( read more)ferent from all the other "end of the world" type films, but running out of gas? They could of went with the whole Tank Girl plot and worked with water. At least that would of been a lot more believable. The dialogue was elementary, but we're introduced to some good slasher scenes. Maybe the only thing that works for Tooth & Nail. It would of been nice to have these cannibals cast as mutes. There's something about a silent predator that works up that fear in you.

Tooth and nail is a bad name for this post apocalyptic movie about cannibals. But it was ok for what it was.

This movie was just okay, nothing special about it. I did ejoy Vinnie Jones, he was good for a luagh. Not a must see, but it could have been worse.

A gory post-apocalyptic tale of embattled humanity versus leather-clad, sharp-fanged cannibals armed with spiked baseball bats and meat cleavers, 'Tooth and Nail' is a throwback to the sort of violent punks-amuck chiller that was all the rage back in the 1980s. Despite numerous r...( read more)ough edges, clunky performances (slumming thesp Michael Madsen all but phones in his brief role as a hungry cannibal) and some weird lapses in logic, it still manages to be fairly tense and entertaining, a sort of splatterpunk 'Mad Max' meets 'Lord of the Flies' done on the cheap.

This one is such a stupid post apocalyptic film with cannibals that doesn't make sense just because of the bad script & the unrealistic scenarios going on.The film also goes at a slow pace with pointless dialog & most of time it stays in one location inside an abandoned hospital.I was hoping to see these cannibals eating people & turning this flick into a bloody mayhem or at least to see some interesting death scenes. It takes awhile before the cannibals with hideous outfits really comes to get their prey but instead Michael Madsen is the first one to show up looking like the leader of the pack. The plot & the characters are so unconvincing. Most interesting things & effective death scenes are happening tours the end of the film.
