Amazing film.I believe I should stop reviewing here because the visual poetry of Corneau is captivating and the gregarious silence is the ideal depiction of the behavior, the conception of music as art.A supreme representation of the era and Guillaume Depardieu in a depressing rol...( read more)e make this another modern masterpiece.

I saw this film on TCM and loved it. It's tthe biography of a young man who becomes the pupil of a Viola maestro in 17th century France. If you like Renaiisance string music, you'll love the frequent performances here.
