It's hard to envision a more objectionable and flat-out interminable contemporary horror effort...

Anton Bitel, Little White Lies
Even if the climax feels too routine to live up to the delirious set-up, the high production values remain a constant surprise, and there is no doubting that this grisly gorefest is a genuine crowd-pleaser.

As far as Straight to DVD horror films are concerned, Trailer Park of Terror is one of the better low-budget shockers. The film is half Exploitation film, half horror comedy and half zombie film. I was pleasantly surprised by this film and despite all the negative reviews that this movie has received; this is a very entertaining film that will certainly appeal to the most die-hard horror fan. The film does have its fair share of flaws, but it is still worth seeing for its sheer ridiculous premise. I enjoy these low-budget horror films more than the big Hollywood horror flicks because they tend to me much satisfying in terms of originality. Big Studios are more interested in remaking films and the sheer lack of creating something new and interested is more of a low-budget thing. Trailer Park of Terror is one of those films. This is a well made film that is demented from start to finish and a must see for genre fans tired with the current state of horror. Director Steven Goldman delivers something unique here with a cool idea, a decent cast and effective comedic moments that delivers plenty of shocks, chills and laughter. Films like this are rare in the genre and it would be great studios would want to create something refreshing once in a while instead of remaking every single horror film that has been released in the 1980's. For a low-budget feature, Trailer Park of Terror gets a lot more accomplished than most big budget horror yarns. This is the type of film that proves that you're able to pull off something very entertaining with the smallest ideas. If you come across this film and you enjoy horror, and then definitely give this one a shot, you'll be glad you did.

Good enjoyable fun that delivers what it says as 6 friends stumble into a trailer park haunted by hillbilly zombies after their bus breaks down near-by. The film teased a little bit longer than I would have liked before it got to the good stuff, but it serves up enough entertainment to provide a good nights viewing. Excellent make-up effects, though it was a little light on gore, but the zombies looked great! The movie also features a few amusingly cool songs along the way too. I didn't find the film amazing overall but it's a recommended watch, especially over halloween.

As the characters say in the titular scene of the movie, this is a clear tribute to Herschell Gordon Lewis. Instead of an entire town as in 2000 Maniacs, this is a small trailer park of six (or seven) murdering ghouls.

The original music is the highlight of the film, and so is the character that plays the songs on his guitar. Most of the teenage victims get a killing suited to their in-life vices, and the girl we all know is gonna live does. It is unclear what happened to the gay fella, but I'm not gonna rewatch this to clarify. The fat lady that "smells meat" is pretty damn scary, and the backstory gives Rob Zombie a run for his money in terms of hillbilly hell.
There are some creative kills including deep frying one of the kids. The effects appear as if they stay practical, and they're mostly pretty cool. The one definitely CG effect that I loved was Norma Jean re-applying faces to herself.
This will scare the bejesus out of pre-teens to mid-teens, but your experienced horror enthusiast will just find a somewhat satisfying intoxicated weekend night flick. Better than most of the dreck in this genre, but you do have to be predisposed to the genre.

I gave this movie way too many chances, but it never worked. I wanted to just shut it off like every ten minutes, but I don't know, something about it had me thinking it might get better. It wasn't till an hour and 10 minutes into it that I realized the movie was going absolutely nowhere. Nothing happened! And when something slightly interesting did occur, it took 20 minutes to build up to it. And a fu**ing lousy payoff too. This movie is all talk and no action. It wants to be sick and extreme, but it just isn't. It's just a boring movie that drags on and on, with many unnecessary scenes and plenty of lame, and effortless dialogue. This is not an instant "cult classic" as many other reviews have said. I don't think this crap can be a cult classic! I mean how can it be? Can there seriously be a fan base for this crap? It's a such a retarded, pointless and completely forgettable movie. What a snoozer! Booooooooo!!!
It's a shame the producers blew their money on this. I feel bad for them. I mean really, this was such an unnecessary film. There was not one single new thing to offer any horror fans...
I'm already starting to forget this movie. ha

An interesting movie with a fairly well story plot, although it has one thinking twice about fried food. Hmmm...worth seeing.

if you want some all out in your face blood and guts you need to get this. not only is it total trash but that trash is top notch

No plot but instead goes for the redneck zombies horror/comedy waiting for the next group to kill kinda thing mixed with over the top gore and rock-n-roll. Maybe cuz I was easily amused that night, or maybe it was the friends I watched it with, but hell, I thought it was fun.

Another film I'm sure I enjoyed more because of the Toronto After Dark Fest experience rather than the film itself. But I never look a gift horse in the mouth, so I should just be happy I enjoyed it.

Another horror film that uses rednecks to scare/induce laughter (cause they all just so damned stoopid, aint they?) which mostly fails in the horror department, but does keep the viewer moderately entertained through out it's running time. Almost a lesser version of The Devil's Nightmare (AKA: Succubus).

When six troubled teens and there youth minister are on there way back from a retreat in the mountains they stop at a truck stop to ask for directions and then end up caught in the middle of a rainstorm then go down a dark road when not watching they collide head on into a truck that happens to be just sitting in the middle of the highway and end up take refuge in a long forgotten trailer park but get more then tbey wanted in the form of Norma a damned redneck who dispenses vengeance and death with her brood of undead trailer park people now they all must find a way out or end up dead. This movie was more comedy in my eyes then anything and does have some death scenes of course not a bad watch kinda reminded me of stuff that troma releases.
