Trapped in Paradise

Blanca Jansuzian, Dana Carvey, Greg Ellwand, Jack Heller, Jon Lovitz, Kirk Dunn, Mike Steiner, Nicolas Cage, Richard B. Shull

Three brothers (Nicolas Cage, Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey) with a streak of lawbreaking in them head to a small town in Pennsylvania called Paradise, intending to rob a ripe bank there. But the people in ...( read more  read more... )the community turn out to be so nice that the thought of ripping them off proves difficult to imagine. The three leads each get to do their uniquely comic shticks, and that makes this film marginally watchable. But the pace is enervating and the story's main idea isn't all that well developed. --Tom Keogh

I wouldn't even waste a pay cable station on this. It's strickly stuck-in-bed-sick on TNT type of a feature. That way when you pass out from the meds you can console yourself that you really didn't miss anything.

Likeable comedy crime caper full of the usual stereotypes, but it did make me laugh.

It's weird to see Nicolas Cage in a comedy role.

A fun and funny movie. Great cast. Definitely not a serious type movie. Watch this just for a laugh and nothing more.

This is a funny film. Stars Nicolas Cage, Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey as three brothers who plan to rob a small town bank. But while in the town they begin to like the people who live there and have doubts about robbing them. The film is funny and has a great cast. Jon Lovitz and ...( read more)Dana Carvey are very funny and Nicolas Cage is quite good in his role as well. A comedy worth a one time watch.

Stock-standard comedy with an interesting idea (thieves rob a small-town bank, but find they can't leave the town, no matter how hard they try), made watchable by its three leads -- implausibly playing brothers. And, is it just me, or is Dana Carvey doing a Mickey Rourke impression?
