haven't seen this movie in quite some time. should probably watch it again so i can give it a better review
I wouldn't even waste a pay cable station on this. It's strickly stuck-in-bed-sick on TNT type of a feature. That way when you pass out from the meds you can console yourself that you really didn't miss anything.
Stock-standard comedy with an interesting idea (thieves rob a small-town bank, but find they can't leave the town, no matter how hard they try), made watchable by its three leads -- implausibly playing brothers. And, is it just me, or is Dana Carvey doing a Mickey Rourke impression?
Meh, Wasn't expecting much, didn't get much, one or two laughs in the beginning then the film starts to drag a bit.
In the movie, they showed that tabloid paper of the "Bat child found in cave." I remember seeing that paper in the grocery store a few years back. Oh yeah... this movie sucked.
An amiable comedy, authentically funny & watchable. The pg-13 rating seems a little harsh. I think the mpaa needs to grow a pair, get their priorities straight, & start bitching at the right ppl for the right reasons.

I thought this movie was gonna be so good because I loved Dana Carvey, Jon Lovitz was entertaining and Nicolas Cage was supposed to be a great actor. But I remember not laughing. And that's no good for a comedy for a comedy in my proverbial book. Boo.
Finally Finally I could watch it from the begining. My Husband rented it. Its one of the funniest Movies. I know Nicolas Cage can play funny roles but this was wow. However its on one of my XMAS Fav list.

I really liked this movie and I had never even heard of it before. It's got its moral and pretty fun story line. I would give it a solid 4, but Dana Carvey's voice for this movie got on my last nerve.
Meh. While Nicolas Cage gives a solid performance but the rest of the film is pretty lifeless, overlong and dull. Jon Lovitz and Dana Carvey are both annoying in their roles and the script is flatly written. There are occasional funny moments but they are few and far between.
Not funny enough to evoke a big laugh, but fun to watch. Carvey an Lovitz are in prime SNL form.
Everyone should watch this movie. It was one of my favorites growing up. If your an SNL fan you need to watch this if you haven't already. Carvey and Lovitz are hysterical.
This is actually not too bad... for a christmas movie. Hostile Hostages is better though.
