i couldnt enjoy this because the file i downloaded was too low so i couldnt hear anything and when i turn it up it made this noise that gave me a headache. but i think it would have been good
I loved the story, and awesome to see James Franco and Sophia Myles in other roles. And for once, I saw Rufus Swewell play a nice guy! Woho, record! xD
I think this movie killed the idea of romance in my mind. Dont get me wrong, this is a despairing yet beautiful love story with perfect setting and background, set in the medeival times but i fail to get in tune by this movie. Maybe its my cynical mind playing up with me again.
This movie is exactly what it can be expected to be: a lovestory to the core, tragic and "painful". Not very surprising, though there are few good twists in the plot. Only if you didn't see them coming miles away...
Altogether, the movie looks great and the music is fittingly beautiful (it does not stand out at, though). Acting is also good, though not superb; the emotions of the characters carry through pretty well, though (even if I couldn't start liking James Franco and his Tristan at any point of the movie).

Omgosh!!!!! i loved it!!!! it was amazing!!!! i mean think of the notebook, kinda i guess, but only back then!!!!! it was so gooood!!! i cried at teh end so badly!!! its a great love story!!!!
Before Romeo and Juliet there was Tristan and Isolde...Great movie, so passionate and sad...the music is wonderful...Im not sure if they existed or not..but is such a beautiful story and its worth to watch it
Why is alway love comes last i know what he did is wrong in the biegining& amazing in the end But WHY LOVE has to come at the end,,,the movie is amazing thanks marco for letting me watch it =)
I can only watch this movie once. This is a must-see for anyone who likes a bit of drama and a bit of romance, but this has both in such huge quantities, that you can only let them wash over you for that first and last time. A very good movie to be sure.
rented the dvd over last weekend , it was a good movie, however they SHOULD have cast Sewell as Tristan instead of Franco. Now Franco was alright; but you put the two next to one another and a woman is most likely to choose a MAN, not a boy. Sewell is ALL MAN!!! (it just would have made more sense is all I'm saying). Isolde's character not being able to part her self from him is believable (to me at least). His presence is more THERE and commanding of attention than Franco's. Nice story, but some casting should have been switched.
