Plot: Artist and dealer Art Dodge's (Antonio Banderas) scheme to sell his work flops, and now he's on the run from dissatisfied buyers. And that's not all: His affair with the jealous Betty (Melanie Griffit...( read more read more... )h) may destroy the little chance he has of persuading his true love, Betty's sister Liz (Daryl Hannah), to go out with him. So what does Art do? He makes up a twin brother who's much more sensitive -- and palatable -- than he is.

Remember when Melanie Griffith had acting ability? Neither do we. Why do Hollywood producers insist on giving married or romantically involved couples their own movies. Didn't ANYONE learn anything from Gigli??????

Lots of silly hijinks. The two female leads are annoying but Antonio steals the movie with his physical comedy and presence.

Not as great as I hoped it would be. I've not seen Antonio Banderas in many comedy films. This is probably the reason why. I really did hope for better. But hey, he's good at action movies and i'm my opinion he should stick to them. RomComs aren't really his thing.

Scores half a star simply because I cannot award it zero. Banderas runs between two wives in Griffith and Hannah in a movie that was chosen for a few of us while I was at uni by a parent who thought we were about 10 years younger and would find it funny. We reached the conclusion that no matter what age we were, this embarrassing, painful, pointless tale would not have been enjoyed on any level. Has destroyed Banderas for me ever since, and is the film I cite when asked for the worst ever.
