Good but really boring exhausted plot line. Script written with no thought but the special effects are amazing and you must add this to your list if you can watch it as Blu-Ray. The Blu-ray version is hot!

This is quite possibly the worst high budget movie ever. There is little character depth, and to make up for a poor shallow plot the makers of the movies made long elaborate fight scenes. Seemed as though they were trying to conjur up the kill bill memories. The only difference ...( read more)

"Hello. My name is Violet and I was born into a world you may not understand."

Ultraviolet is high-concept, visually spectacular science fiction movie...it is also a criminal waste of both time and talent. Audiences may remember director Kurt Wimmer's initial -

I loathe this trend of mindless hong kong style dystopian action flicks generated after that trash called 'The matrix'. Unbearable.

I like it, I really do. Maybe because it's different(and I like movies whose distinctive) or maybe because of the good Sci-Fi storyline I don't know, but what I do know is that it's good. (if I really have to say something less good about it, it would be that I really didn't unde...( read more)

Shot in a very pop culture-esque style, Ultraviolet embodies alot of what a sci-fi graphic novel has to offer. Honestly the movie wasn't that great, but for what I believe the director was going for, he nailed it. This movie is what it is, comic book style, non-stop violence with...( read more)

Add to the ''what the hell did I just watch?!'' list. Ultraviolet is jam-packed with awful line deliveries, canny special effects, chopped to hell editing and most of all, dreadful plotting. Wimmer's take on the female superhero genre is practically unwatchable as a straight-up c...( read more)

August 18, 2008I see some people saying they don't like it because of the lack of story but I think it was intended.
I love how this film knows it will have a complete BS storyline and script but the action is golden and that seems the point of the film to me.
I just ignore the story mostly, haha.

August 20, 2007Stealing ideas from every popular sci-fi film in the last 5 years - from Blade to Minority Report and regurgitating them all badly, this film is awful. It always amazes me that a room full of men at some point watched this and decided it was good. And then released it. Astonishing.
