She appreciates that when she tells him about her experiences, he… More Thirteen-year-old Estela lives in Purmamarca, a remote mountain town in the north of Argentina. Carlos, an architect from Buenos Aires, has come to build a housing project in town and before long the two have become fast friends. She appreciates that when she tells him about her experiences, he cares enough to listen. In fact, the exchange is mutual; Carlos recognizes his own conflicts in the girl's stories. Estela becomes very attached to Carlos. Then Ana, Carlos' former wife, arrives in town determined to revive her marriage. Despite the purpose of Ana's presence, Estela takes to her and they develop a cordial relationship. Then the day comes when Carlos' job is done. He and Ana are off to the city.
