Shocker (Edmund Lowe) and Jumbo (Victor McLaglen) are two such rivals, and the trouble really begins when they both fall for the same journalist. Pat (Florence Rice) is at the center of both of their manhoods, and the men seem ready to fight to the death until Lowe nearly does die when a barricade gives way. After McLaglen saves his life, the two stop their bickering. Lowe, incapacitated, agrees to let McLaglen take over the two crews and allows him to "win" the race. This macho drama also features a small but admirable performance from character actress Marjorie Rambeau. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi
