Critic Reviews

  • Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com

The plot is so convoluted that missing even five minutes at a stretch won't make any difference in your comprehension of the story.

  • David Hiltbrand, Philadelphia Inquirer

A monster chiller sequel that is visually spectacular but rather overburdened with story.

  • Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel

There's nothing new under the sun -- or out of it -- as vampire movies go.

  • Gregory Kirschling, Entertainment Weekly

... the series never expands on the promise of its one innovation.

  • Ben Kenigsberg, Village Voice

There's no guiding power at work here; it's Evolution without a shred of intelligent design.

Underworld: Evolution in my opinion is the best entry to the hugely succesful vampire vs lycan series. This first sequel has more of a plot than the original and the loud, fast paced, thrilling action… More

A very horrible movie, they focus so much on action, that they fail at everything else. I believe now that they just make up crap as they go along.
