Wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be a lot better. Most of the times I didn't know what was going on. But the ending just made watching the movie point-less.
Good movie. Interesting story plot that follows a down-and-out sheriff and a group of stranded travelers in a small town that is now threathened, and attacked, by a bizarre creature that was once previously buried, and now uncovered by an archeologist. This creature had thrived in the time period of the Ancient Ones, the Anasazis. This movie ties in quite an interesting story, and has centralized upon a unique mystery about a group of people who have once occupied much of the Southwest, and that are distantly related to much of the tribes in the region. Quite fascinating for a spin-off! Good cast- Luke Goss, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Charlie Murphy, and Russell Means. Definitely worth seeing.
storyline was okay. it would have been better without the over the top explosions and totally fake alien/monster. some of the acting was cheesy too. it really had the potential to be a good movie...
The plot was a little weak and felt already overused. The creature looked too CGI for my taste and too Alien like but with different appendages. Some good actors but are very underused save for a few. It got a bit boring towards the middle, but it did have a bit of suspense and gore but you saw it coming a mile away.
It had promise but I think it should be remade with better directing. The only character work was with the sheriff. Believable but yet lacking somewhat. Everyone else I just didn't care about.
Another problem with this is I missed almost all the exciting parts because I couldn't see what the hell was going on. It was either a blinding light...not enough light...or the shot was so outa frame. So I wasn't to happy with this. Had potential though....
A movie with this much potential talent turned out to be such a mess. The scenes were too dark during the kill scenes that you really couldn't see the kills. The CGI wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. If someone thought that was badm they obviously did not see I am Legend.
To be honest I enjoyed this flick there is some bad acting but ya know the monster looked like a cross between alien and dinosours. I have to say so far out of the horrorfest movies this one was prety good but after seeing lake dead anything is better in comparison...
For a B monster movie, this one's pretty decent. It's about what you'd expect, with silly acting, silly dialogue, and a silly CGI-ish monster (though to be fair, it's about as well done as the zombie/vampires in "I Am Legend", and I'm sure this one had a much smaller budget). It's a pretty clever premise as monster movies go, and in the hands of a better director, this could have been far scarier than it is, but it's still a good 90 minutes of entertainment. And I'll admit that I didn't see the end coming, it definitely wrapped up all the plots and subplots nicely. This is my first foray in the "After Dark" series, and I definitely wasn't particularly impressed, but it was solid enough I might try another one. If you're a fan of gory monster flicks, makes for a pleasant bloody evening.
when one movie succes thn u gonna c alot of movies with the same subject ,its really borring, well as i saw these ,i could guess the end, wanna c some thing diffrent ...
Out of all the horrorfest movies that I have seen so far I would have to said that this would be my favorite yet. Just wish that the creature would have been more exciting.
A very good storyline... in a few of the shots the monster didn't look like it belonged.. but otherwise they showed a few good shots of the monster and Suprizingly there were quite a few beautiful ladies... Emmanuelle Vaugier was really amazing... playing the town drunk a bad cop and in the end she risks her own life to save the very ppl that wanted to see her badge removed. Over all great acting and I'm looking foward to other films from Horrorfest 2007...
Standard monster movie with pretty bad CGI effects that completely take you out of the movie. Shoulda stuck with pratical FX guys. The movie also lacked any kind of characterization and the dialogue was very cheesy.
a pretty good creature movie i thought. but the sfx could of been alot better for the alien creature :( but wow did it sure mangle whatever it went after let it be cattle or humans. so i would say not a bad 90 mins spent it kept me interested :)
Not bad little monster fest.
Acting good and the sfx could be a lot better. Not a bad 90 mins spent.
I can't say I liked this a lot, some of the shots were engaging and normally I'm a fan of these kinds of movies where you have mythology involved but not here. Some nice effects but the scare was lacking. I might give it a go again when it arrives on DVD soon.
This board looks lonely. Be the first to talk about "Unearthed" !
