Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"A movie about sexuality that really throbs with eroticism."

"Not for kids, but some adults will like it."
‑ Nell Minow, Common Sense Media
"[Diane Lane] is more than enough reason to see Unfaithful."
‑ Rob Gonsalves, eFilmCritic.com
"Devolves...from bland diversion into some truly unsettling sexual politics, and tumbles from that already low plateau into an ersatz In the Bedroom."
‑ Nick Davis, Nick's Flick Picks
"The movie is called Unfaithful, but it's actually extremely faithful -- to the adultery movie rulebook, anyway."
‑ Bill Muller, Arizona Republic
"After the plot's big turning point, the movie loses its focus and can't decide whether it wants to be a melodrama or a crime thriller."
‑ James Berardinelli, ReelViews
"Works precisely because it is so upsetting, unusually so for a studio film, and so empathetic for Connie at the hands of her attractive manipulator. [Blu-ray]"
‑ Peter Canavese, Groucho Reviews
"The outstanding performances help smooth over the plot devices."
‑ Jeffrey M. Anderson, Combustible Celluloid
"'Lo que vale el precio es la estupenda actuación de Diane Lane, quien encarna a la perfección el prototipo de mujer moderna con una sólida interpretación'"
‑ Jorge Avila Andrade, Moviola
"What's curious about Unfaithful is just how little it pops."
‑ Manohla Dargis, L.A. Weekly
"Diane Lane is magnificent in this movie."
‑ Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper
"Unfaithful is not so much about the conventions of a typical bored housewife falls for exotic foreigner with disastrous results story, but in fact plumbs the depths of what really constitutes intimacy, and how complacency, rather than the melodramatic ups"
‑ Todd Gilchrist, IGN Movies
"Gere is convincing in a role that he most likely would have not taken even five years ago."
‑ Michael Brody, CinemaBlend.com
"We are supposed to like all the characters, and yet in some way, we can't like any of them."
‑ John R. McEwen, Film Quips Online
