the 1st hour is really boring. it gets a better when it's all about inside the plane. but too late to save this film.
Tough movie to see. Even when you know the ending you find yourself hoping that it changes. Overall great movie.
"It's time". "United 93" is possibly the closest thing we'll ever get to having a film remember September 11 without being blemished by the commercial and the sentinemtal. A movie that redefines omnipresence, the audience is allowed to hover these brave individuals as they do what they thought was best, faced with the certainty of death and the affect of terror. Paul Greengrass directs a brilliant cast of actors and real-life people, delivering a film driven by facts and some approximate recreation of what happened in that plane based from phone calls made to their families. In cinema verite, it is stripped of politics, opinions, agenda and prejudice. In contrast with other terror driven movies, it doesn't demonize its antagonists but portrays them more as people who were manipulated to think that what they were about to do was for the greater good. "United 93" is a tremendous film. A movie that could have easily been skewed towards the plastic and being contemptous, it is at the end a story of hope and bravery. And it did actually happen.
Paul Greengrass did it again..they say lightning couldnt strike twice in the same spot..but not for Paul Greengrass...after Bourne Supremacy...he did it again with the shaky tension movie..just simply powerful...
A taut and well-made thriller.
There's little room for characterization, but still manages to be effective.

I wish my friend Cheyenne Jackson the Actor that also starred in this movie; his name was listed here. He's a newer Actor, I started working w/him when he was just starting out at The Everett Performing Arts Center in Everett Washington. Love ya' Cheyenne!
it started out a bit boring -- weather forecasts, meetings, w8ing @ the airport... But then once the hijackers took action, it got really exciting. was kept on the edge of my seat when the passengers of the flight fought baq & called their familys & bid them farewell. tht was really moving. it really made up 4 the slow beginning.
please watch the documentry "loose change" if your atall interested it has alot of really good information 911
this film is like you was there and i started thinking what would i have done in this situation........the answer the honest answer i really don't know this film sadden me so much i don't think i can watch this again once was enough but i am glad i did cos i now know what happened and of course i will never ever forget i have also watched the world trade center but this film had me gripped to the edge of the seat and my guts churning may all the people who died on this horrible and meaningless tragedy rest in peace.
Well done movie, they handled the topic in a "tasteful" fashion, not too hollywoodized. Check out the movie trailer before the Oscars on Sunday to get yourself caught up... we've got a ton of trailers at gotuit.com

Honestly, I wasn't the one who wants to watch this movie, but it ends up better than I thought.
I won't watch it again though - there were too much tensions.
