As a stand alone film its not too bad but as an adaptation it's horrible. The comic is far superior and deserved better. Portman is terribly miscast but Rea, Hurt and Weaving make up for it.

Excellent movie. Makes you think even as it numbs your mind with awesome action scenes. V himself is the epitome of the ideals he fights for, he is intelligent, unrestrained, in control and doesn't compromise.

The film version of V is a nice summer blockbuster, but the message of the original story is completely lost. Moore's story goes from having the moral of "Even fascists are people" to being an escapist revenge adventure. While I love the movie, I can't help but feel a more faithf...( read more)
