As a stand alone film its not too bad but as an adaptation it's horrible. The comic is far superior and deserved better. Portman is terribly miscast but Rea, Hurt and Weaving make up for it.

this movie was more than an action movie, about revenge and government. this movie was about truth and power. this movie was so much more than i though. it was brilliant in ever aspect and ended with the most spectactular ending scene in any movie ever made

V for Vendetta has yet to be successful because of the Wachowski brothers with dazzyling effects, a strong story, compelling characters, and another comic adapatation by DC comics. A-: Great.
