Kinda confusing in parts but otherwise it was amazing
it was kinda weird, but i liked it. wit all da action and mystery and action dats a nice script
I really liked this film.. I didn't run right out and rent it for it didn't really strike me as something I would enjoy but then a few days ago I thought what the heck.. now I wouldn't mind owning it and will in time.. Very good film indeed.. I recomend you see it even it the mood doesn't strike you...
brilliant....the mystety of V keeps you watching all the way and the amount of twists is unbelievable....certainly, the scene with V surviving countless bullets and then killing all the others with his knives is amazing....also, the feeling of power at the end when all of the people wearing V masks showing their support is fantastic....also the moments of comedy make this altogether a great watch!
Amazing wonderful movie I love V he is my hero he is sooooo cool! THE MOVIE ROCKS WATCH IT!
I anticipated this movie ever since I read about it on the internet. When I finally watched it I nearly ripped my hair out and puked all over my room because I was so disapointed. Don't get me wrong, I really wanted to like this movie. But I was so distracted by Natalie Portman's accent that I bearley noticed the lack of story line of this movie. I know for a fact that many people respect and love this movie and acknowledge the fact that I may be a tad biased. It's on the top 250 movies. Maybe I missed something, maybe I didn't understand it properly, or maybe I was expecting too much. but in my opinion it was overated and I didn't quite understand it.
The best movie I've seen in a while!!!!!! Its great. Thats about the only way I can explain it! I love the message. The powerful feeling of everyone can be free and that we CAN overcome the hurdles that life gives us. When this movie was over I almost cryed because of the spiritial meaning it had. I think it should be like a requirment in school to watch this before you graduate because it's so moving.
i loved this movie.....i didnt get to finish watching the whole thing but the parts i seen were really good.
Holy crap... If I was younger, and slightly more impressionable... I would shave my head and pretend to be british just because I watched this movie.
do it do it do it do it do it do it do it
if you didn't, do it now
watch and love it, just do it
k?
I've already left a review. But I thought I'd say that I've opened a forum for V for Vendetta fans to chat at: http://z11.invisionfree.com/ShadowGallery/index.php along with a currently very small fansite with wallpapers, avatars etc. for people who are interested: http://www.freewebs.com/theshadowgallery
I loved this film so so so so much..I think it's amazing how it betrays England as the most powerful country in the world, and I love the fact that we never saw "V" face as in most films we always know the true idenity!
I have watched this film over 6 times before I went and bought it...lol
the plot was unbelivable and Natalie Portman and Stephen Rea make excellent performances.
This movie brings up many issues that people tend to not bring up. It has brought to light things in my opion are happening. Maybe not in England, but in America.
Even though it's NEARLY as poignant or massive as the original Alan Moore comicbook, the Wachovski-brothers did a decent job.
But their first draft for the script was so much better than the final cuts.
Hugo Weaving is spectacular, Portman is fairly alright (despite the crude british accent) and Hurt is brilliant, despite the sadly one-dimensional character. (I will never be able to see The Elephant Man the same way again..."will he shout at Hopkins now...? no, not now...")
It tells the story of one of the most beautiful things in the world; Anarchy.
Oh, and just o get rid of that minor issue; Anarchy does NOT advocate vandalism.
It's a manifest, proving that how much a government might guide a country temporarily, the actual power will always lie with the poeple.
Firstly Bollocks is a very british swear word XD I should know.
The movie was brilliant the Wackowskis did it again with the same deep meanings they had in the matrix.
Hugo Weaving did so well to carry the movie on voice alone and pulled off V's whimsical character incredablly well.
I loved the accents too I'm british and I don't have a nice accent like that and considering the two lead roles were played by an American and Australian I think they pulled that off well too.
'A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having'.
You tell 'em V!
See you guys on November 5th ^_^
That movie is great but, i hated it when V dies, i want him to be with Evey, but it's a great movie
This movie is truly brilliant. I honestly don't understand how anyone can not enjoy it. It says what can not be put into words, it is beautiful. I've watched it several times and still get chills. Anyone disagreeing can only be disagreeing with the ideas it conveys - because the movie itself is flawless. Its ideas, well, they are beautifully expressed, and definetely bulletproof.
i think its safe to say os99 is without any taste in movies, but i still respect his and anyone elses opinion as everyone deserves the chance to speak out. But besides from that...i loved the movie
I didn't like it at all. the political views were weak. Natalie Portman was crap. the movie is obsessed with the word "bollocks". plus the dialogue was bad. i felt the movie thought it was so clever, but its not by a long shot. sorry.
