Well it is hasty, over too quickly and over predictable but it is still good fun and a kids film after all. Enjoyable.

I didnt think this would be any good. But it was, it was reasonably eventful with touches of sarcasm and irony and generally kept me happy throughout.

i loved this cartoon film just because i am a fan of ricky gervais and i think the artwork is amazing 2 watch..this has got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout the movie doing the voice over work for the cartoons,.i still think that john hurt is the man because he is the man from alien 1 when the alien bursts out of his chest...this has got a good story behind the movie..its highly entertaining throughout the comedy is really good..i think that hugh laurie n john cleese are both brilliant actors n they do really good voice over work throguhout this movie

Every single cliche from every single war movie ever made is represented here. However, because of those cliches and references I kept smiling the whole time I was watching,it was like meeting old friends. The scene with the worm was shocking ('At least have some breakfast before you go'),I laughed my head off -because it was totally unexpected, not because it was really funny...Nice animation, great (but wasted ) cast, some good acting(Tim Curry,John Cleese)...not much to brag about.Kids probably love the cute little pigeons and the burp/fart jokes but I think it's not funny enough to hold their attention...An agreeable movie that is worth a smile:so SEEEEEEEEDS!

VALIANT (2005)
directed by Gary Chapman
starring the voices of Ewan McGregor, Hugh Laurie, Rupert EverettValiant is very British. Its about pigeons enrolling to become messengers in WWII. Its sort of based on a true story and its what makes this film somehow interesting cause appart from that bit it really is for kids and its filled with clichés. Lots of jokes are cheesy and they go with everything possible just to use the word «pigeon», trying to make it clever, such as «VIP = very important pigeon» or «war pigeon» instead of war prisoner. There is a lot of talent behind the poeple doing the dubbing for the characters but its nothing special, the film is predicatable and even the themes dont ever raise. Of course its about never giving up and believing in yourself and not having to fit in to be able to achieve something but its rather cheesy. And what kiddie film isnt about that ?
Valiant has a few funny moments but it really is more for kids and the action scenes never really manage to give the viewer some excitment. Bleh.

Cute and funny in parts but overall not that staisfying. It looked great and was decent enough I guess but not as fun and exciting as others in this genre.

An good movie in its genre, good animation, a great cast, an original setting for an animation film and some basic funny moments. However, it fails to be a brilliant film. The plot is not the most apealling but there is something more that is missing here but I don't know for sure what it is. But still, a good film to watch.

With a cast like this, I really expected more. I mean seriously -- Ricky Gervais, Ewan McGregor, Hugh Laurie, Ben Kingsley... What a waste. I thought these people had higher standards.
-
The best WW2 movie I've ever seen...just kidding, but an OK movie, not the best and not the worst animated film, something in between. Well done with a few funny moments but a little bit to short, around 70 min.
-
its worth a watch its funny and sweet and a genuinly good cartton film never new it was voiced by some really good actors though
-
it was a cute movie. i am glad that they made this movie to honor the animals that helped during WWII. they were very helpful and espcialialy the pigeons.
-
Fine UK 3D animation and hilarious of pigeons in the World War II, I like the character of Bugsy (voiced by Ricky Gervais) that he's a lazy, greedy, fast-talking, act really funny and stinky pigeon.
-
The animation is nothing special but the plot and ideas behind it are pretty good. The actors that provided the voices are all great actors and all of them very funny. I don't think it could get any funnier than Hugh Laurie and Ricky Gervais. It's a decent kids movie and it's a lot better than a lot of the others i've seen.

-
I enjoyed this movie. I loved the voices used in the movie and I liked the historical element behind it. It was a neat take on the war for children.

Handlar om den lilla fågeln Valiant som vill bli flygräddare och hans sköna gäng som är helt hopplösa, men som tillslut blir ett superbra gäng och blir hjältar.
-
This movie is absolulty awsome and I thought that Valiant was cute and a bit like me. He is my new hero
-
why go through all the trouble making a feature animation if you're not even going to make the characters the least bit cute or appealing?
-
I didn't see all of it, I was watching it at the movie store! it was a little slow but very cute. I loved the charcters, very nice story line...over all wonderful movie! it cool that it has Ewan McGregor! That was cool!

Saw this with my kids and bf, it was quite enjoyable, but have seen better ... but it left the kids talking about it for a few hours after so it can't be all that bad :)
