Had it's flaws but it's simply one of the best vampire flicks I've ever seen be it animated or live action. Hands down. Love the whole story or the idea and the dark art is brilliant. The ending could've been better though perhaps.

How very cool. The character designs are amazing, and D is still my favorite slayer of all things creepy and vile.

I watched this the other day and I absolutely loved it. The animation was done spectacularly. It reminded me of the Aeon Flux style.

D, the main character, doesn't say much but his actions and overall attitude make up for all of it. Very good film!!

This one garners respect for its advanced animation techniques...
The storyline features a larger cast than the first film but it doesn't take away from any aspects of the film...

I wish I had time to watch every movie out there but since I don't I have to be picky about what I choose to watch. This one didn't make the cut because I don't think I'll like it or don't know enough about it to think I might like it.

The continuing saga of D the Vampire Hunter is a good one. While not as awesome as its predecessor, this movie manages to impress with a great art style and a pretty good story. D is tasked with saving a woman named Charlotte from a Vampire named Meier Link. D also has some competition this time around in the Markus brothers. I feel the story could have been fleshed out a little more, but overall this is a great movie to watch.

A coherent and witty script, and enough blood and gore to satisfy. The vampire concept has been strained enough, but this is an exception.

The animation is great, the dialogue is wonderful. A great story. Very Romeo and Juliet meets Bram Stoker.

Much better than the original in my opinion, but that may be because I read the books and saw how much they butchered the original book (not that it had much going for it in the first place (I find Kikuchi awfully boring, although I like the characters). It's a gorgeous piece of animation with a heart-wrenching storyline and an ending that made me cry. <3 VHD.

The story isn't up to the animation's quality high standarts that the movie presents but it's still good enough to be worth watching.

I don't know what score I'd give it. I like it but I don't for other reasons I'd prefer not to disclose.

An adventure/action/drama ride done right. You really don't need to know anything about the novels to get into the film. Yoshiaki Kawajiri deserves way more credit as being a mere "cheap thrill" director. The guy knows how to create cinematic moments.

I hoped to enjoy this one more than I actually did. The review for this film is fairly spot on. It's got some great moments, but I think I'd be more likely to be a fan of the graphic novels than I am of this particular anime feature. D himself didn't do much for me as the hero of the show... he was pretty blah in terms of expression... I'll have to check out the books. Still, it's worth watching if there is nothing else on. Definitely not the worst I've seen.

Beautiful artwork and the storyline is awesome. The characters are fantastic and the entire story is just flawless. There is a clear plotline to the entire movie that does not include any branching off into the romance department and such. By all means a great movie that everyone should see eventually.

The animation is very unique and beautiful compared to other anime I've seen. The action scenes are good, professional american voice actors(finally!). The storyline and music are good too. This is the best Vampire movie EVER!

An impressive horror film as well as one of the better anime titles. The soundtrack is excellent, and although the story does not measure up to the visuals, it's worth viewing.
