Caught this on TV last night, surprised I had not heard of it. A decent little slasher film with some emerging young stars in the cast. Not very gory but feels like a good old school slasher. Produced by Kevin Williamson who had a hand in Scream and I know what you did last summer!
At first thought this was not so good, but watched it for a second time and thought it was pretty good. I just wish that the person who turned out to be evil was not likably....meaning before he became a killer there was no reason to have hated him or wanted him dead, he was a little creepy but his becoming evil was by total accident.....but it's only a movie
Deep in the Bayous? of Louisiana, a voodoo curse is buried and hidden. A Voodoo Priestess decides to dig up a suitcase of tortured, evil souls to hide them from the world and stop any inquisitive people from accidentally releasing them to the world. Though when a car accident sends her car off the bridge and into the river below, the suit case is forced open and the snake locked inside posses and kills the man who was trying to save her from death. Now with thirteen tortured souls in his body, the man sets out to hunt down and kill every town member.
Venom is a typical slasher horror film. Agnes Bruckner once again stars as the lead female as she has quickly made a niche in the horror genre. Like her other horror films, none of them have been either special or remembering. Mainly they are all just cheesy fun. Venom has some gruesome deaths and easily predictable, but that is what these movies are made for. Venom won?t awe you, but the movie is a great rainy Friday night rental. Nothing special here, but Venom receives three voodoo curses out of five for being cheesy but not too over the top cheesy.
Modern "teen-slasher" that didn't suck and had enough deaths right till the end, it had all the thing required but could have used tons more gore, then it would have even been flawless.
i got this from blockbuster watched it thought it was awsom took it back bout 2 months later went back to get it out again but it wasnt there so now im on the hunt
This is the kind of movie that you'll forget unless you have watched it thrice perhaps. First, the acting was poor and second, the attempt to make an interesting story was not successful. So before I make any more venomous remarks, I'll stop.
This movie simply sucks the acting is horrible. Its should be under the Genre, Satire or Parody. I dont know. There is not much about Voodoo. All I saw was a Killer Chopping some Teenagers thats all.

I really didn't like this film it never captured me and I was bored throughout. The actor choice was really bad and all of them just lacked something making them seem really plain. There were only a few good tension building scenes but not many and I was disappointed with the ending.
A fun "80's style" teen slasher with a little Voodoo thrown in for good measure. Kinda reminded me of "Friday the 13th". Mediocre acting but isn't that all part of the "80's style" charm? A great rental.
